The league strongly encourages clubs to purchase the best insurance they can for their players, managers, coachers and committee members. Whilst this alone may be sufficient for some, in turn clubs must strongly encourage their players and members to ensure they have adequate individual insurance based on their own needs.
In the first instance the player should seek to claim against the insurance policies that the club and/or player holds.
The County FAs also have Benevolent Funds of their own, support from which can be sought by clubs/players from their respective County FA.
