Our league is devastated to learn of the sudden passing of our much-loved and respected friend and colleague Aamar Ahmed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aamar's family, friends and Bolton Wyresdale AFC.
We also mourn the loss of much-loved ex-Secretary, former League President and Discipline Secretary Ron Bowker. . Saturday 22nd March 2025
Cup action Rochdale St Clements 5-4 with AFC Monton, Chaddertonians go down 5-2 at Hazel Grove, O.Blackburnians are edged out 3-2 by Trafford FC Reserves. Winstanley St Aidans were 1-0 at O.Mancunians. In Division One Accrington Amateurs were 4-2 with Halshaw Moor, Whitworth Valley Reserves 5-1 with AFC Wigan and Oldham Hulmeiansn 5-2 at O.Mancunians Reserves. O.Rivington Sports were 6-0 at Rossendale in Division Two and O. Blackburnians Reserves 4-0 with Lymm. Division Three saw Prestwich 3-3 with Halshaw Moor Reserves and Hiorwich St Marys were 4-2 with O.Mancunians ‘A’. In Division Four Oldham Hulmeians Reserves and Bolton Wyresdale Reserves shared 4 goals, Rochdale St Clements ‘A’ were 8-1 with Bury GSOB ‘A’ and Breightmet ‘A’ 3-2 with Rossendale Reserves. Wednesday 19th March Annual fixture against the L&C at Daisy Hill was closely contested affair. Having the better of the first half the LAL fell behind in the second half, but equalised before full time to send the game into penalties. However, the LAL couldn't match the L&C and failed to retain the John Howard Shield. |
