LAL Side before their 7-4 defeat against the LCPL in Nov 2016

Our Representative Side played its opening game of the 2018-19 season away against the Liverpool County Premier League on Tuesday 6th November. The game was played at the Liverpool County FA.
 
The prize was the Lord Mayor’s Shield, and after going 1-0 up through a goal from Callum Hewitt the side went down to 10 men after the goalscorer was sent-off. Despite being a man down, the side showed energy, enthusiasm and grit and played exceptionally well to deservedly score twice more in the second half through cool finishes from Sean Rushton and Jonathon Thompson. A late goal conceded was contentious, but didn't take the shine off a remarkable display. Thank you to all who represented the league.
